Master Bennett was the head of the Sho Go Tae Academy to which the karate team at the Peter Claver Center belongs. The memorial was attended by martial art dignitaries, practitioners, and loving friends. Mayor Bob O'Dekirk of Joliet read a resolution that was passed in City Counsel honoring Master Bennett.
Master Bennett will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
